The Origin Story
East Coast Diecast started in a crowded basement workshop with a single resin printer and a serious problem: the aftermarket parts available for 1:64 scale diecast cars just weren't good enough. They lacked detail, the scales were inconsistent, and the designs were uninspired.
We decided to build our own. What started as a personal project to detail our own collections quickly turned into a full-time obsession. By modeling parts directly from real-world CAD data and scaling them with microscopic precision, we created a catalog of parts that look as good under a macro lens as they do on the shelf.
Our Process
01. Research
We source reference photos and blueprints of real automotive parts to ensure our models are structurally accurate.
02. Design
Parts are modeled in 3D CAD software, specifically adjusting tolerances so delicate features survive the printing process.
03. Fabrication
Printed on ultra-high resolution SLA MSLA printers, washed in pure IPA, and UV cured for maximum strength.
The Workshop
We operate a small-batch manufacturing facility on the East Coast. We aren't a massive drop-shipping warehouse. Every part that leaves our shop is inspected, packaged, and shipped by the same people who designed it.
We constantly iterate. If we find a way to make a wheel spoke sharper or an engine block more detailed, we update the file. Continuous improvement is our baseline.
